Memorial Garden Guidelines & Policies

─────── 🌈 ───────

The Erie Rainbow Bridge Pet Memorial Garden is a quiet, peaceful place for pet owners to visit, reflect, and remember their beloved companions. To help preserve the beauty of the bridge and Scott Park, we kindly ask all visitors to follow these guidelines.

🐾 MEMORIAL Garden Etiquette

Please be respectful of other visitors who may be grieving or reflecting.
Keep voices low and help maintain the peaceful atmosphere of the garden.

🌿 Respecting the Bridge & Park

Please do not place collars or leashes on the bridge rails.
Items left on the rails will be removed by Millcreek Township to maintain the appearance and safety of the bridge.

⚠️ Safety First

To help prevent slips and falls, please do not place flowers or mementos directly on memorial bricks.
Items may be placed along either side of the bridge.

🧹 Keeping the Garden Clean

We are grateful for our Rainbow Bridge community and kindly ask for your help in keeping this space clean and beautiful.

If you leave live flowers or plants, please make an effort to go back and check them. If they have wilted or died, please remove them. If you visit and notice dead or discarded items nearby, please take a moment to remove them.
Trash cans are available throughout the park for your convenience.

🚸 A Place of Reflection, Not a Playground

This is a place of remembrance, we kindly remind visitors that the memorial garden is not part of the park’s playground.
Please help us keep the space safe by ensuring children do not run or jump on the bridge.

Out of respect and safety, bicycles, scooters, skates, skateboards, strollers, and other wheeled items (with the exception of ADA mobility devices) are not permitted on the bridge.

We also ask that all visitors respect items left by others and do not remove live flowers, trinkets, and memorial items left in honor of beloved pets.

If you witness anyone vandalizing or damaging any part of the Rainbow Bridge area, please contact Millcreek Police immediately.
